(Honoris causa) by the CIFE, Mumbai, (2007) and the Millennium Plaque of Honour of the Indian Science Congress Association (2008).
He is also a Fellow of several prestigious Academies like the Indian National Science Academy, National Science Academy, India , National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India and many other professional societies.
